Transforming your digital experience

We’re proud to introduce a new technicalsafefybc.ca. We’ve rebuilt our website to streamline usability for our partners and improve your digital experience. 

Our goal is to provide the best experience for anyone who is accessing information about our safety system and regulated technologies, regardless of age, location, ability, digital experience, technology limitations, or situational boundaries. By removing barriers, engaging our partners, and bringing new users into the safety system, we’ll take one step closer to our vision of Safe technical systems. Everywhere. 

After hearing that our previous site was difficult to navigate and to find information, we’ve undergone an overhaul with your user experience in mind, including:  

• redesigning our mega-menu to allow visitors to quickly navigate to every page and find what they’re looking for;  
• expanding our colour palette to include more high contrasting options so that text is more legible for all, including those with colour vision deficiency or low vision;  
• making improvements to search to provide faster, more accurate results; and 
• ensuring the design of the site is responsive in order to include those who may not have access to a computer, with consideration for mobile devices or other devices with small screens or differing input modes.  

A high-participation safety system is a strong safety system, and in order to create that, it needs to be as user-friendly as possible. So while it may seem like a new look, every change is designed with you in mind. We’ve not only rebuilt our website; we’re transforming our digital tools and services to best serve you and improve equity and access to safety information. While the website is the first step, there are exciting changes coming. We hope you’ll stay tuned.
