Vehicle Conversion (CNG/LPG)

To apply for this certificate, you must:

• Possess both Vehicle Conversion (CNG) and Vehicle Conversion (LPG) certificates

Refer to Gas Safety Regulation for more information.

You will also need to provide copies of the documents you originally submitted with your individual CNG and LPG certificate applications. These include:

• Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Conversion course completion

• Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) Vehicle Conversion course completion

• A 3 year automotive industry training credential or equivalent OR employer letter showing a minimum of 3 years experience of automotive tune-up experience

If you wish to apply by mail, please fill out the Contact Us form to request a paper form.

Once you have submitted your application and paid the applicable fee, we will evaluate your qualifications. If you’re successful, we will issue you the combined Vehicle Conversion (CNG/LPG) certificate.

If you would like to install or alter a CNG or LPG system in a vehicle, you will need specific manufacturer training and an endorsement from us.

To have an endorsement attached to your certification, you must provide a record of successful training completion. Send this record to us via email, and we will attach an endorsement to your Vehicle Conversion (CNG/LPG) certificate. In some cases, multiple endorsements may be required to perform certain work.
